Working in partnership with the BELB Inclusion & Diversty Team they meet fortnightly on a Saturday morning from 11am-1pm at Mountcollyer Youth Club, 111-113 Limestone Road, Belfast BT15 3AB. Parents, children and siblings of children with ASD come together for support and play. personal development youth work to help build social skills is available for older children. Formed in 1989 by a group of parents and professionals concerned by the lack of Autism services in Northern Ireland, Autism NI seeks to ensure that people with Autistic Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and their carers have access to appropriate services, enabling people with Autism to become valued members of the community.
The main areas of our work are: family support, information and advice, branch support, training, awareness raising, helpline, resource centre, political lobbying, research, policy change and strategic planning.
